Tasked to represent a space as a typeface, I created twenty-six icons from over six hundred pictures of a trip I took to Siena Duomo.
The final outcome was a publication made up of both purely aesthetic visuals of my typeface and the beginnings of the twenty-seven chapters of the New Testament. Each chapter progressed the combination of my typeface and its combination with Courier. Within the first chapter, only the letter A was in my typeface, then the second chapter had both the letters A and B changed, and so it went on. The final page of the publication was purely my typeface, making no sense unless the reader went back and worked out each letter over time.
I’m very proud & lucky to say this project is to be published in the latest edition of Visible Signs by David Crow, being released in November.
